Before the Game

Open tailgating is allowed in the yellow areas on the athletics department's tailgating map. Permit holders in the purple lots may tailgate in their lot.
Tents and setups can go up starting at 7 a.m. on game day. Lots open at 7 a.m. (6 a.m. for 11 a.m. kickoffs) and there is no overnight parking.
Recycling bags are handed out, and there are containers for used charcoal.
The LBJ Lawn (red on the map) is reserved tailgating through REVELxp, 512-900-6513. No fire cooking or grilling in REVELxp spaces.
RVs and oversize vehicles park at State Lot 26, 701 W 51st St. ($20 from 6 p.m. the night before, or $10 on game day). There are no hookups or toilets. A free shuttle runs from 2 hours before kickoff to 1 hour after the game.

Hook 'Em Hangout at the stadium's northwest corner: 10 or more food trucks, beer on tap and shaded seating, opening 3 hours before kickoff.
Bevo Blvd on San Jacinto: the Bevo Parade, the team's Stadium Stampede arrival, a live pregame show and big screens.
Longhorn City Limits: free concerts on the LBJ Lawn, with BBQ and silent discos after select games.

Tailgating is not permitted at Q2 Stadium. The pregame scene is run by the supporter groups instead:

Austin Anthem, based at the south end of the stadium, lists tailgates and a March to the Match on its events page. Check there for the location before each match.
Los Verdes, a member-run supporters group, meets at rotating breweries before matches.
La Murga de Austin is the brass and drum band in the supporters section.

Tailgating is allowed in the lot as long as you stay within your one parking space. Parking is $15.
