About Austin Texas Fans

An independent, fan-written guide to game day in Austin, Texas — the Longhorns, Austin FC, the Moody Center, and everywhere fans gather around a game.

What this site covers

Austin Texas Fans is a plain-spoken guide to being a sports fan in this city. We cover the venues — DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium, the Moody Center, Q2 Stadium and the rest around the metro — along with tickets, parking, tailgating, and the bars and patios where fans watch when they can't be in the stands. It's written for the home crowd and for visitors seeing Austin for the first time.

Our approach

We write for fans, as fans. That means original words and our own take — never scraped lists or somebody else's compilations repackaged as ours. Every page aims to be useful, honest, and free of clutter: no pop-ups, no paywalls, no auto-playing video. When something costs money or has a catch, we say so. When a policy or schedule can change, we tell you to confirm it with the team or the box office before you go.

Who publishes this

Austin Texas Fans is part of the WholeTech Network, an independent Austin, Texas publisher building websites since 1996 — starting with the Spring BBS, one of Austin's first online communities. The network spans more than 100 sites, each focused on a single topic and built to be useful to people and to AI agents alike.

Independent and unofficial

We are not affiliated with the University of Texas, Austin FC, the Longhorns, or any team or venue, and we don't sell tickets. We're fans pointing other fans in the right direction.
